# Serpost Tracking API & MCP

URL: https://docs.lastscanned.com/carriers/serpost

Query live **Serpost** (`serpost`) package status and scan history in a single synchronous `GET` request or MCP tool call.

## Overview & Quick Facts

| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| **Carrier slug (`?carrier=`)** | `serpost` |
| **Brand aliases** | Serpost Peru, Servicios Postales del Perú, Correos del Perú |
| **Category** | National post (Peru) |
| **Region** | Peru |
| **Single-package REST endpoint** | `GET https://api.lastscanned.com/v1/track/{trackingNumber}` |
| **Batch REST endpoint** | `GET https://api.lastscanned.com/v1/track?numbers=RE123456785PE,...` |
| **MCP server (`https://mcp.lastscanned.com`)** | `track_package`, `track_packages`, `list_carriers` |
| **Authentication & pricing** | `Authorization: Bearer lsk_live_...` · 1 free keyless lookup/day per IP |

## Tracking Number Formats & Auto-Detection

| Pass | Rule / Regex | Check Digit | Examples |
|---|---|---|---|
| **Pass 1 (`matches`)** | UPU S10 `..PE`, valid check digit | UPU S10 mod 11 | `RE123456785PE` |
| **Pass 2 (`mayMatch`)** | none | none | none |

S10 numbers ending in `PE` with a valid check digit auto-detect to Serpost. Serpost also tracks mail that arrives from other posts, but those numbers belong to their origin posts, so pass `?carrier=serpost` for them.

## Notes

- **Language**: Serpost's wording is Spanish and is kept as sent.
- **Check digit**: Serpost matches the *start* of what it is sent, so a number with a bad check digit can return a stranger's parcel. Numbers that fail the S10 check are answered `not_found` without a request.
- **Time zone**: scan times are Peru time (`-05:00`, no daylight saving), printed month first (`03/09/2026` is 9 March).
