# ePost Global Tracking API & MCP

URL: https://docs.lastscanned.com/carriers/epostglobal

Query live **ePost Global** (`epostglobal`) package status, scan history, and the **destination carrier's tracking number** in a single synchronous `GET` request or MCP tool call. `lastscanned` auto-detects `EPG…` numbers.

## Overview & Quick Facts

| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| **Carrier slug (`?carrier=`)** | `epostglobal` |
| **Brand aliases** | ePost Global, EPG, ePostGlobal, epgtrack |
| **Category** | Cross-border e-commerce parcels |
| **Single-package REST endpoint** | `GET https://api.lastscanned.com/v1/track/{trackingNumber}` |
| **Batch REST endpoint** | `GET https://api.lastscanned.com/v1/track?numbers=EPG012345678901234,EPG012345678901234` |
| **MCP server (`https://mcp.lastscanned.com`)** | `track_package`, `track_packages`, `list_carriers` |
| **Authentication & pricing** | `Authorization: Bearer lsk_live_...` · 1 free keyless lookup/day per IP |

## Tracking Number Formats & Auto-Detection

| Pass | Rule / Regex | Check Digit | Examples |
|---|---|---|---|
| **Pass 1 (`matches`)** | `/^EPG\d{15}$/` | none | `EPG012345678901234` |
| **Pass 2 (`mayMatch`)** | none | none | none |

`EPG` numbers belong to ePost Global alone, so `?carrier=epostglobal` is optional.

## Notes

- **Handoff**: `message` names the destination carrier and its number, read from ePost Global's "In transit to `<carrier>` tracking #" scan (for example `"Handed to GLSEU as 123456789012"`). Pass that number to `GET /v1/track/{number}` for the partner's own scans. Some parcels have no such scan, and then `message` is `null`.
- **Time zone**: the scans carry no zone, so `timestamp` is `null` and `localTime` is the printed time.
