# Day & Ross Tracking API & MCP

URL: https://docs.lastscanned.com/carriers/dayross

Query live **Day & Ross** (`dayross`) package status and scan history in a single synchronous `GET` request or MCP tool call. Canada and US freight.

## Overview & Quick Facts

| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| **Carrier slug (`?carrier=`)** | `dayross` |
| **Brand aliases** | Day & Ross, Day and Ross, Day&Ross, Day Ross, dayross.com |
| **Category** | Regional (Canada and US freight) |
| **Single-package REST endpoint** | `GET https://api.lastscanned.com/v1/track/{trackingNumber}` |
| **Batch REST endpoint** | `GET https://api.lastscanned.com/v1/track?numbers=A09555311,A09555311` |
| **MCP server (`https://mcp.lastscanned.com`)** | `track_package`, `track_packages`, `list_carriers` |
| **Authentication & pricing** | `Authorization: Bearer lsk_live_...` · 1 free keyless lookup/day per IP |

## Tracking Number Formats & Auto-Detection

| Pass | Rule / Regex | Check Digit | Examples |
|---|---|---|---|
| **Pass 1 (`matches`)** | none | none | none |
| **Pass 2 (`mayMatch`)** | `/^A\d{8}$/` | none | `A09555311` |

This shape is loose and also used by other carriers, so it is tried only when nothing else claims the number; pass `?carrier=dayross` to be sure.

## Notes

- Two steps: an anonymous bearer token is read from the public tracking page, then the order is looked up by shipment number and its touch points fetched. GPS `POSITION` pings are skipped.
- Day & Ross serves several zones and does not say which one the clock is, so only `localTime` is returned. When the shipment carries a UPS `1Z` number, `message` names the handoff.
